Air Products’ Halia^® aeration systems use oxygen rather than air as the aeration gas and can be utilized to sustain higher dissolved oxygen (DO) levels in an aeration basin. Since filamentous bacteria proliferate in low / no oxygen conditions, the improved DO control possible with the Halia systems minimizes the formation of filamentous bacteria and eliminates the settling issues they cause.
